Room 10's Assembly

WALT We are learning to share our work with others.

On Friday of week nine our class ran the assembly.  Aaron, Venice, Rheanne and Jacob made a slide show for our assembly.  It shows some of the amazing art and writing we have done this term.  Here it is.

Class Treaty

During week 1 we brainstormed things to have on a class treaty.  Here we are signing the final copy.

Andy Warhol Inspired Pop Art

This week we have been completing self portraits using a pop art style. We had to include all the important lines in our faces, copy it 4 times and then use bright colours with solid block colour backgrounds.  We could change the colour of different parts across all 4 pictures.

Buddy Class

Every Friday we spend time with our buddy class.  On Friday the 9th of February we completed a scavenger hunt around the school.

Daily 5 Reading

We have been practicing our Daily 5 Reading rotations.  Today we were doing reading to ourselves and reading with a partner.  We had to choose a 'good fit' book, a good place to read and a sensible partner. We mark ourselves out of 5 for each rotation. We get points for starting quickly, working without talking, staying in one place, building our stamina by being focused on our work and packing up quickly.

El Gregoe

On Friday we were lucky enough to have Elgregoe and his new assistant Ben at school. They were presenting the 'You've Got the Power ' show.  It was great to see all his new tricks.  His message was about Respect, Caring, Helpful, Trustworthy and Responsible.

Swimming

We are lucky enough to have the school  swimming pool open to enjoy in hot weather. At the moment we are in the process of organising our groups for lessons.
